Las Trojas Cantina

Im from California, and I’m very familiar with Mexican food. From fast food to cuisines, I’ve had them all. Now living in the South, I’ve found it difficult to find truly authentic Mexican food. A co-worker of mine who is also from Cali, recommended this restaurant so today after work, we stopped and gave it a try. I have to say, it’s one of the best Mexican spots I’ve tried in Alabama. If I could give them more than 5 starts, I’d absolutely would! Various appetizers, dishes, beverages, and desserts!!!! I’m definitely coming back just for some drinks and their tres leches cake.

This has been the best Mexican meal I have had in the area. The food was great, the extras on my plate were very fresh and the salsa was wonderful! The servers were friendly and very helpful.

I went to get myself a drink and some chips and salsa. It was incredibly packed that night but they did a grand job keeping up with everyone. Salsa had a good flavor and the lime margarita on the rocks was wonderful!
